Association for Project Management (APM)

Management of Risk (M_o_R ®)
M_o_R (Management of Risk) is part of the Best Practice Guidance portfolio published by the Office of Government Commerce. APMG-UK manages the Accreditation and Qualifications schemes based on this guidance.
The M_o_R guide is intended to help organisations put in place an effective framework for taking informed decisions about the risks that affect their performance objectives across all organisational activities, whether these be strategic, programme, project or operational. M_o_R defines risk as "an uncertain event or set of events which, should it occur, will have an effect on the achievement of objectives. A risk consists of a combination of the probability of a perceived threat or opportunity occurring and the magnitude of its impact on objectives".

ISEB Foundation Certificate in Business Analysis
This course leads to the new ISEB Foundation Certificate in Business Analysis, the industry-wide accepted certification of the British Computer Society. It covers the broad range of principles and techniques within the sphere of Business Analysis with candidates being required to demonstrate their knowledge of the Business Analysis discipline. The certificate is relevant to anyone requiring an understanding of Business Analysis including business analysts, business managers and their staff, business change managers and project managers.
Delegates will learn about Business Process Analysis and the IT Systems that might be used to improve them., how to identify and manage communication with the different stakeholders, techniques for building relationships, getting ‘buy-in’ and managing expectations.

A P3O® model provides a decision enabling/delivery support structure for all change within an organisation and serves as a single source of information that either organisations or individuals can use for guidance or advice on setting up or running an effective delivery support office, ensuring that they ensure the organisation has the capacity and capability to deliver the selected programmes and projects, and prioritised to ensure that they reflect strategic objectives.
